Cnet reports that a long running legal dispute over the term “Facebook” has now been resolved.
Think Computer had been challenging the trademark on the term Facebook issued in 2006. The grounds for the challenge related to a system released in 2003 by Think that included a section called “The Universal Face Book”. Facebook itself launched in 2004.
The two companies have now reached a settlement under which Think will drop its challenge to the Facebook trademark. Financial details of the settlement weren’t made public.
