Over the last year Twitter has come close to achieving world domination. Now it looks set to conquer space.

Twitter user @Astro_Mike is NASA astronaut and mission specialist Mike Massimino (verified by Valebrity). His tweets make fascinating reading for anyone interested in space exploration – especially as he’s currently in orbit!

Mike yesterday wrote the first (known) tweet from space:
